dansefilm.dk
dansefilm.dk is a platform dedicated to dissemination of dance film – for us characterized as choreographic work viewed through a camera lens.
Our purpose is to spotlight and strengthen the art form of dance film in Denmark and the Nordic region and countries through screenings, events and other initiatives.
The platform is founded by film director Helle Pagter, dance filmmaker Maia Elisabeth Sørensen and administrator and advisor Jens Christian Jensen. One of the first initiatives has been to reestablish a Nordic network for dance film, which we are currently building together with Icelandic artist Helena Jónsdóttir, Finnish artist Kati Kallio, and the Faroese artist duo Rammatik (Rannvá Káradóttir and Marianna Mørkøre) with upstart support from the Nordic Culture Fund.
